The Pack 169 Pinewood Derby will feature prizes for the fastest cars in each den, the fastest cars overall, and several specialty prizes.

Pinewood Derby Champion Trophy

The Pinewood Derby winner will be determined in the finals round and awarded the championship trophy by achieving the best average time over 4 races (one per each lane of the track) during the race finals.

Trophies will also be awarded to the second place and third place finishers.

The den winners plus the next fastest cars (up to aggregate total of 16 cars) in the Pack (based on average time over 4 races) overall will qualify for the finals. Qualifiers will be announced prior to the finals.

Car owners must be present to race/win this award.

Den Winners and Finals Qualifying

The Scout with the fastest car in each den will receive a medal.  Second and third place finishers in each den will receive a ribbon.  Den winners are determined based on the fastest average time over 4 races of each car (once per each lane on the track).

Scouts that qualify for the finals, but do not win their den will receive a medal for qualifying.

Car owners must be present to race/win this award.

Coolest Design

Trophies for 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place.  Winners determined by Boy Scout/Parent judges.
